The barbarians are at the gates?

No! They're not at the gates! They're here and in some cases THEY are US!

A short review;

*we have spent ourselves into a $15 trillion plus national debt without a will to cut even $1.2 trillion over 10 years!

*we have Afghani police and military leaders in New York this week to learn how to control their borders as we cede U.S. territory in Arizona to Mexican drug lords!

*our out-of-the-mainstream media are so far to the left they manufacture more news than they report!

*our liar-in-chief refuses to put people to work on a pipeline to bring oil from a close ally while he is cozy with Middle Eastern nations who mostly hate us!

*followers of Islam have infiltrated the heartland of America and lay in wait for the coming economic crash while it is politically incorrect to even think about how to stop them!

*terrorist front groups like the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) foment racism and suspicion, linking themselves with groups like the Muslim Brotherhood!

*almost 44 million people are on food stamps and that number has been increasing for 38 straight months!

*we have an attorney general who refuses to prosecute voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party and then refuses to give congress records and documents concerning that department's culpability in a Border Patrol Agent's death!

*we complain of the barbarism of Islam and we have butchered over 50,000 million innocent babies in abortion mills!

*we whine about a lack of civility in society and yet we have raised two generations without a biblical world view!

*we spend the inheritance of our grandchildren on what people feel they are entitled to today!

*we yearn for fairness and equality and socialize our economy while socialist countries around the world move to a more capitalist system!

*we scold Europe over economic excesses while we spend money we don't have like drunken sailors!

*we make doing business in this country expensive and laden with regulation and then cry like babies when they move off shore to do business!

*we make farming more expensive and since 2007 we have become a net food importer!

*we worry about a lack of jobs while we haven't built a new gasoline refinery in over 30 years because of wacko environmentalists who drive their cars to protests!

* we penalize ordinary citizens who demand truth and speak it and ban them from the public forum just as I was at my local paper!

*we fight new power plants as our electrical power grid system crumbles from too much demand!

*we push away jobs while we reward unemployment with 99 weeks of benefits we cannot afford to pay!

*we embrace our enemies and insult our friends!

*we sooner embrace a lie than face the truth!


We have a normalcy bias!

"The normalcy bias, or normality bias, refers to a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation."

A new phrase? Sadly, no!

Jesus Christ spoke of it!

"20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is withinb you.”

22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. 23 Men will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them. 24 For the Son of Man in his dayc will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

26“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

28“It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

30“It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. 32 Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”

The flood brought a paradigm shift in the thought process of man. Fire raining down from heaven brought the same shift to the people of the valley!

The normalcy bias was broken!

Very intelligent and educated Jews of Europe in the 1930s kept hoping things would get better despite all they saw before their eyes!

On the morning of 9/11 the people of New York went to work with a normalcy bias despite all the evidence that war was looming!

It's always better to heed the indications of danger and disaster and prepare! And turn from the direction one is taking but...

As a nation...we refuse!

To preach as Noah did is to be labeled a "right-wing nut job!"

We have a normalcy bias and we are about to suffer a paradigm shift in our thought processes!

An economic disaster is looming and a vulture, Islam, awaits the fall of the carcass!
